Savings of a Lifetime

February 16, 1934 Outline

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:19-21).

Our earthly savings, money, houses, land, are all things that we leave behind when we pass from this life. Yet our main responsibility is to save treasures in heaven – friends, love, service, hard work, giving, education, joy, peace, happiness, confidence, trust.

"Commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass" (Psalm 37:5). The Divine Substance for all these things is available for our use, yet what is it, where is it, and how do we find it? Trees, flowers, vegetables, and fruit all have a seed of Desire to grow toward the Light. Desire is your seed also. You fill your invisible mold with your thoughts, emotions, and pictures of imagination.

Release Your Talents

February 23, 1934 Outline

Matthew 25:14-30

The servant who was given responsibility for five talents gained five more for his master. Then the servant who had been given two talents to account for earned two more. Yet the servant who had been given charge of one talent did nothing with it. His talent was taken from him because he had not discharged his responsibility! Often the people who cry "unfair" the loudest are those who do the least.

Will you keep to the old way which wicked men have trod, who were cut down before their time, whose foundations were swept away by a flood? They said to God, "Depart from us!" What can the Almighty do for them? Yet He filled their houses with good things; but the counsel of the wicked is far from me. Job 22:15-18

Every idea carries its own ability to perfectly release all things associated with its completion. Why complain because others may have many ideas when you have only one? That’s walking in the "old way." If you act on that one idea, you will undoubtedly think of more. The use of one idea makes room for more.

The one Light, as Substance, Power and Mind, is "all that the Father has," and flows as a stream, the River of Life — we may keep any of it or none. Each day we save our leftover milk, but we must use money, or "talents," like a free-flowing stream. Anyone who holds onto Power is withholding. Anything we hide, we must bring forth.

Compensation

March 9, 1934 Outline

Law is exact and just. We always receive something in return: Experience, health, new ideas, love, understanding.

Treat all debts owed. Treat debts to be paid. Put it on the altar, loaded with money.

Ideas are our Initiators and they each have outside Agents to clothe them, waiting to put them into expression. The idea trains us and makes us unfold.

Money is no more important than anything else. Freely give!

Prosperity!

March 16, 1934 Outline

In each realm, phase or technique we must use everything on a higher plane to "bring to pass" from the invisible.

The old Masters taught people to concentrate, which is the mental use of the Law, or Force. We teach lifting into kingdom first, building form on the lower plane every good thought-picture in desire-substance now. We don’t need force. Call it into visibility with love and praise. The only way is "looking up to heaven."

"He blessed the bread" and broke "it" and there were twelve baskets left to share.

The Spoken Word

March 23, 1934 Outline

Do we use some particular tone of voice that offends others? Automatically we strike our own keynotes.

When making declarations, does it help to write our desires on paper? Yes, since this clears up the subconscious and conscious mind.

Every word is the Spoken Word. Idle words are the won’ts" and "can’ts coming back as form. Melt and dissolve all the negative forms you have sent out!

Ask!

Ask! How? Once. Act as if you have it. A lily bulb draws, appropriates Substance, and we draw in Substance from around us. Build plenty of pictures in imagination. Fill them in with Substance.

Concentration Versus Surrender

April 15, 1934 Outline
Buffalo, New York

When you concentrate upon supply, you must demonstrate. Concentration is forcing the mental faculty of Thinking. You can concentrate on only one thing at a time. It does not pay enough dividends.

Surrender to Power, which is working now. Lift the physical, and subconscious mental into the spiritual. Part time surrender is like wind that blows from every quarter. Lift idle words about self-affairs. Let them follow the heart’s conviction.

Release

"There is that scatters, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tends to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat" (Proverbs 11:24-25).

Let go in your mind! Prosperity requires willingness to be used, led, lifted until each hour pays dividends.

N.R.A. Now Receiving Abundance

If all is now, then now is the time, and here is the place where we can see.

Attitudes

Buffalo, New York

Attitudes of success and prosperity include joy, love, completeness, and surrender. You surrender the negative attitudes: Posing, writing or behaving affectedly, settled behavior to indicate opinion; feelings and sensation.

Abundance

Abundance is money. How do we produce abundance? By practicing high Visualization. Give to others and yourself from above. Play a game and Imagine. By giving the invisible, you open the door to receiving the visible.

Emancipation Through Self-Mastery

May 25, 1934 Outline
Buffalo, New York

What must I do to find a position? Treatments, release substance for next fall! The substance available is not the same every day, and ours is already waiting.

How do I get into the right place? Serve a thousand percent where you are now. How can you achieve emancipation through self-mastery? By practicing two hours per day, four hours per day, ten hours per day until you are perfect!

How do I know this is the right place? Do next thing next!

The Law of Attachment

August 24, 1934 Outline
Buffalo, New York

We make our own individual laws. The Law of Attachment is that what we love becomes our law, our guide. You take yourself into what you take into yourself: What we hear, see, accept.

You, as the third person in the Trinity, are life itself, like the Father. There is no end to your capacity to unfold, expand, and produce.

When you are in love, you are in enthrallment. We say that we "fall" in love. The Power is in the love to which we are enthralled. To fall is selfish, and brings us pain. Arise in Love! Selfless.

Immeasurable Power to use for success lies in that one who becomes enthralled, possessed by the idea of surrender to Power, to complete absorption, complete surrender, complete Power, one with all. "I can be that which I truly am. I can release Power substance. I can ‘mother’ this God-given desire until it is ready to move forth."

The Life Practical

September 14, 1934 Outline

Every idea of points in two directions: Disintegration of the old, or construction of the new, from old into new. This keeps us on our toes! The new must be more life, and that life must be good, perfect, just. It must contain good for each individual from lowest to highest. It can’t be less, only more!

The invisible shelves are filled with Divine supply. Bring your needs in! Leave them and take your supply away. The secret of supply is dwelling in the Heart of God, together with treating perfectly.

The Master said, "Lazarus come forth," and a dead man came to life. Jesus spent years in preparation, and another three days until he told his disciples that Lazarus had died. He knew what he would do, and how he would do it. We are now dwelling together in the Heart of God. Walls fade out for us – no walls, no space, no time exists! Bring in your claim, and God will bring the supply. This is fulfillment.

The Life Powerful

September 21, 1934 Outline

To be "an expert in doing good" takes a long time. Someone has said that of all forms of genius, goodness has the longest awkward age. Our thoughts may be beautiful, but if our acts or words are ungainly, we are always wrong.

If our acts or words are powerful, success and the rest should follow.

We must release the indwelling Power. It’s not a question of where is the Power, or what Power, bot of how release what we have from where we know we have it! We’ve all heard of the "Little Black Box" they have designed for aircraft. Science now has hundreds of inventions in laboratories, ready to unveil when we are ready to use them.

We have accepted that we have "All Power and Dominion," the how is what confronts us – how to release it. Anyone can become an expert. It makes no difference what we desire to do, if we give it 10 minutes each day of exercise or study, repeatedly and continually, we’ll succeed, just as the fabled tortoise won against the hare.

Too much time is the curse of the world! If we have plenty of time, we attend to our inner growth only a little at a time. An old Chinese proverb says that a journey of ten thousand miles begins with the first step. Take that first step toward becoming "an expert in doing good." This is the journey that leads to true Prosperity. "The Almighty will be thy treasure and precious silver unto thee" (Job 22:25).

The Life Victorious

September 28, 1934 Outline
Buffalo, New York

Isaiah 59:19

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19

Arthur Brisbane said that "If men want to go up 500 miles above earth and look around outside our atmosphere, they will do it." Twelve thousand years ago, we lived in the Stone Age, and used tools of flint! Professor Milliken once said that our present land speed record of twelve miles per hour "will stand forever!"

Yet, while we are perfecting our ability to produce anything we can think of, we have neglected distribution! We don’t need to use our whole brain to get rich. At Yale they have been experimenting with monkeys and apes, which they’ve taught to find food and go pay for it! Dr. Charles Abbot, at the Smithsonian Institute, has devised a machine that bakes bread. It provides ample heat in the morning to broil bacon and bake biscuits.

We are finding something new every day. So many new ideas are coming through each day, but people don’t have enough help or time to carry them out. Radio is a new invention, yet experts say they will revolutionize it within a few years.

What does a "Victorious Life" mean? It isn’t having power over anyone, anything, or any place, not money or success, not force, not any single outer thing. A victorious life is rooted in man’s pride in his own ability to create. He starts to create something. For instance, he may desire to lay the world at the feet of some woman, but loses sight of his ideals and allows "things" to absorb, to own him, which will leave him unhappy, no matter his degree of success. Only creating can satisfy us. We are creating plants to cool the air, turning barns and blacksmith shops into garages. We see change everywhere, new growth, new Light.

A victorious life grows from knowing we are victors, confident in our ability to create, to accomplish. We want to go somewhere! We are glorious, divine, so be fearless and go!

The enemy comes in like a flood! The Israelites lived in a parched and arid land, cut by only a few rivers, subject to flash floods. A flood is immensely powerful and sweeps everything before it, leaving only barren destruction in its wake. A flood will level everything unless we raise a dike or levee to contain its flow.

We must lift up a standard against the enemy! A standard is a banner, an ensign symbolizing support, and it is something that stands. "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" When God is our standard, no enemy can prevail. The Light, shining from our eyes when we remain at one with God, is our unbreachable levee.
