February 2, 1940 Some of you have moments of mental malpractice when you think negative thoughts about others. Some babble when they should not. They do not know when they talk that their lips are not so wise. Every Mr. Fix-it has to learn to place a lock on his lips. A Vow must be kept. God must offend those whose tone offends others. "It is impossible but that offenses should come, but woe unto him through whom they come." They will come to you to pick up the pieces. Love them, but be strong and speak Law. It takes dynamic Power in a statement to have the Truth come through. Yet you must not let them know that you know. The one who stands, then holds the point, reaching ‘round in the circle of Light. Caution everyone to hold their points. Train them in this. Caution them and say, "We must hold our points." "Let him who thinks he stands, let him take heed lest he fall." Be non-existent as to self. Each must watch his dictatorial manner. Each must humble himself to take orders, and must earn it by deepest humility. Watch this in yourself. You must soften this, to be loving, gentle, and to not criticize authority or orders. You have come now to an important point of polishing character. It is always the most delicate point of balance. Do not use force. It is simple to overstep where there are great ability and determination. There is also great danger to become hard, to become dictatorial, to become overly forceful with others. To cause resentment in anyone at this stage of inner work would be fatal to them as well as to the offender. To stand, to know, to love and to let love do the work, to agree with each one and adjust together on the common ground is your business, never letting go of the Vision or Goal, never backing down one step from the ground gained, standing unmoved before friend and foe, balanced, poised, untouched, holding your head high and chin up as a Master of Law should, yet with nothing but love to move out upon all, no resentments, nothing within that could fight. This is true at all times. Others will illegally and unlawfully try to get past this armor of love. However, it cannot be done if it is pure love — they can but try. You are entering a world of jealousy and envy. You cannot change it. You can change yourself and be so filled with love that love changes all things that touch you and add them to your power. That is what is meant by "making your enemies your footstools." You will be called upon in the next few months to work out your pride, arrogance and intolerance of self-will, rebellion and resentment. During this, stand, love and praise much. Even a trace of such taint left in you will be less than perfect expression. This is your reward for complete surrender of all things less, for your unbelief, to be a Master of Law and not know it, to be perfect and not know it, to be an angel and not know it. To be beautiful and not know it. To know only one thing. "Of myself, I am nothing. The indwelling Father, He does the work." Knowing only Shekinah Glory as your goal, your honor and where you stand. Knowing yourself as only an instrument and a voice, through which the Gods speak, unconscious of self. You are able to follow all the way. Let nothing that happens on earth stop you. Enjoy the appreciation of others. Give service, but lose not sight of your destiny. You cannot let anyone hold you back on earth. Full vision, full seeing, full knowledge of expression on the Inner will be satisfying. Hold your ideals. Keep your banner flying. You have no time to turn left or right for personalities, near, dear or outside. You know that is what you want. You will see and hear as easily as seeing the person next to you.
An expectant attitude is a great aid to the Father. Praise, praise, praise that you have it. A little more praise and love and you are free of physical ailments, of money limitations, of public lacks. You will earn a place of position, money, power and life. No man can take it from you and you will no longer be foolish to take it from yourself. Faith has led you to take one step at a time and live each day knowing that not only the next day is taken care of, but next month and next year, physically, materially and spiritually.
Erase all past doubts, fears and all indifference from your minds and hearts. Make your peace with your world, family and friends, and, above all, with your own inner household of emotions and thoughts. Lift these high unto all power’s release through you. Lift up your hearts on almighty Praise to save the children of the world who now perish for a Message of Faith and Hope.
Your place is in Glory. Your hearts are now filled with the Light of God’s Presence. Your minds are filled with Illumination of the Christ Mind through all. Your bodies are vehicles of our Father’s expression. Your feet are shod with His Glory. Your hands do bless and lift all which they touch. Your lips shout glad words of Praise at all times. Love possesses you, and you have only love for all others. You have no enemies. See to it then at all times, that you so accept, believe and stand, lest you be in danger of the judgment. Do not be judgmental. Be rather softly walking before your God, and doing so, know that His judgment of you will be exact as is your judgement of others. It cannot be otherwise at any time.
Peace expresses from your soul’s heights and radiates harmony into all places before you. It expresses beauty of soul into your own world. Why then should you and your world seek, always hunting patience? When you live to your soul’s heights, only peace moves into action, sweet, compassionate and fulfilling. When you look before you in peace and in joy, what can you see, either in the face of a friend or the world’s face? Be not double-minded. Be not double-sighted. Do not say once, "I see love," and another time, "I see hate." Both cannot be true. You either see love, or live with hate. Why live with hate? Why see what you do not desire as your portion? If you truly desire love, love shall you have. It shall bloom for you forever. Let not the one whose vision is double, think to receive full value of time, for one cannot see hate when looking toward God, and if one looks toward the world only to see hate, how then can that one reach or hope to see God? Laws are given to follow, not to disregard. Laws are for all, not one. If none will follow, then how shall the world follow? It is Lent. What have you sacrificed this Lent? What have you given up of the world? You have all things in your hands, to use according to your choice. Backwards and the "little thou hast" shall be taken from you. To use upward into the Light, more shall be added. However, your work must be at a white point of heat and more since such lukewarmness besets you.
Be ever watchful. Allow no outer gossip, or outer suggestion to move you to let go your hold upon Light. Push upward toward the Light, ever seeking more release of Power.
You have planted in the heat of the day. You have watered when faint and weary. You have shared when you did not have. Yet I would warn you. Because you have borne the burden, because you have shared yourself, you are to be watchful and in no way misuse Power or fail by lukewarmness in sacrifice, nor in any way join your enemies. Carry your loads full to the top of this Mountain of Desire and do not lay them down when nearly there.
Holding fast to darkness is your downfall, for it keeps you lukewarm when you should wax to a white point of heat. You are living beside the river of living waters and thirst. Why, when you have only to reach up and let life flow through you. Many are wasting much valuable time seeking selfishly to see and hear when all God asks is prayer of lifting love and fulfilling praise. To seek for self gives you more self to seek — nothing more.
You cannot live your whole life in one day. Do something toward your freedom each day, and one day you will have that freedom. This is seed time, and one day you will have the stalk, the leaves and the blossoms. It is inevitable. [The evacuation of Dunkirk was from May 29 to June 3, 1940.] This slaughtering of men who defend is almost unthinkable. We cannot do anything but lift to the bitter end. Pray that Light permeates all bandages for healing. Declare that Light fills Europe. It will all work out right, though at great loss of life. God will not allow the Philistines to conquer, and He never has. He will answer the prayers of His millions. Those who died on sacrifice will be heroes.
Law is Law. Light is Light. Law may not be set aside and Light may not be set aside. All Life is contained in Light. In it is no darkness. Truth lives in Light and lives forever. Be of the Law of Light. Praise that Light is the only Truth and all Truth is contained in Light. Therefore only Light which is Truth, and Truth which is Light shall endure. All else shall fall of its own weight. There is no weight to Light. There is no heaviness to Truth. Truth carries itself, because Light can only lift. Light cannot fall, neither can it fail. Shall anything that is Truth fail? No, rather shall Truth know its own and so shall it create its own. The Law of the Light, therefore, is to know Light. Let Light place its Seal upon you and so shall your own creations stand established unto you. Waver not, neither have any shadow of turning. Let Light lift you and let Truth establish your Foundations. Hold fast all that you have gained, and reach to further and higher Heavenly gains, even to the highest.
May the Spirit of Divine Love nestle close in your hearts this day. May mercy temper all justice for you and through you. May compassion be your treasured and greatly treasured possession, possessing which you sell all that you have and buy it with this so great sacrifice, for all you truly possess is "self," and in selling that, you replace it with immortality of Soul. May understanding be a Light unto your feet. May wisdom be your daily guide. May power fill you to overflowing. May Light be your burden and your companion forever. Peace unto you and the everlasting arms uphold you in all your going in and your coming out. May the Lord’s tabernacle be your dwelling place and may your rest therein be sweet. You are blessed and lifted and held in safety. Your Father neither slumbers nor sleeps. Live high, agreeing with the Light at the Place of Poise, then you will express the necessary patience in peace. You will have miracles and you will be happy in these miracles. Hold fast. Do not fret or worry about anything. You are going on into the Light.
To each shall come rewards, according to his or her ability to stand serene in the midst of confusion, seeing nothing of darkness, admitting only that which is Light. Choice belongs to each. Each is his own Judge, each his own Law. Yet the Father does the only rewarding, for being one’s own Judge means that what the words, the action, the deep thought and desire behind both, brings their rewards on the outer, and not what the individual judges as his own reward or what he judges as another’s reward but only what the Father judges as rewards to all.
All shall prosper in the Light under the Law of Love. The Love of God is upholding you in strength to stand. Our Visions shall grow and become outer form under God’s protection in His own time and way. I’m loving and lifting you high in the Light.
You have no time to wonder about anyone else’s darkness or lack. Take on nothing that is not your own. Stand with the Light, triumphant over any manner of dark. Yet somewhat must be accomplished in your own mind and heart you are ever ready to place blame. You art not pronounced a judge upon earth. Therefore, how can your words of blame carry weight with the Fathers except as they cause judgment upon yourself? Watch, therefore, for you can only judge your own self. When you can see utter evil and say, "It is good" lifting it in love to me and our Fathers, then shall your returns of prospering success abound unto you. It is sad this lesson costs you so much effort of time, yet it must be learned. The subsoul goes through great travail until it is fully cleansed. Your devotion and your love are perfect where you dost stand. Only the beam of blame in your eyes to watch. Be a perfect ensample of compassionate love.
You shall succeed. You shall hold fast to your Vision of Fire and Flame. It must be so. You must prove yourself the one who stands and sees only the perfect and the Light. You saw one of your Initiations over there. You should have held to that point of consciousness where you heard and saw! That’s the trick! To hold it. You have a long trail before you, and even as I have had it to do, much conquering of self. But one step at a time well taken will finally bring you to the high goal, which is ours. There are many to whom we cannot speak in terms of high vision. They count us daft or worse. So always hold in mind your Golden Silence. A few times in my life my pen has been dipped in silver as I write. Shining, glowing silver of spirit, not quite purified yet into the high gold. Stand firm on your Center of Light. You do not need to understand anyone else. Let God understand others. You aim always to understand Him and release Light over all. Calling all by its only name: GOOD. These few rules, followed forever, will take anyone up, when we never again see any unlikeness to Light anywhere, anytime! Your advance shall be as great as the sum total of your experience up to now. May your calendar year bring success beyond your dream-visions and Love’s Glory to carry you on and through. |
